Dr. Davenport was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army and went on to serve in Operation Desert Storm. After returning to the U.S., he was promoted to Captain but resigned to pursue full-time ministry.
He accepted his calling and has served as Founder/Senior Pastor of Family Fellowship Worship Center for over 23 years, witnessing its growth from seventeen people in 1995 to now over 600 members on the church roll.
Dr. Davenport has a passion for teaching the Word of God with clarity and simplicity.
Additionally, he loves showing the love of Christ in practical ways to help meet the needs of his community through Shepherd's Bread, as well as other yearly outreaches. He has traveled and ministered in Germany, Romania, Guatemala, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, and the Bahamas.
Dr. Davenport’s noon Sunday radio broadcast ministry on 104.5 FM reaches thousands of people throughout the sandhill region of North Carolina. He also serves on the board of directors at Grace College of Divinity in Fayetteville, NC.
Dr. T.L. Davenport is married to Charlotte, his wife and ministry partner of over 24 years. They are the proud parents of three children, Gabrielle, Hannah, and Jonathan.
